CashScore Ltd, the expert in providing stand alone or hole-in-the-wall cash machines to retailers and other small business owners in the UK, has equipped all its field-based sales employees with E-Survey solutions to replace their existing old paper based sales process. Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Facilities Consortium NHS has introduced E-SAFE 100 and the E-FORMs module to dramatically speed up its reporting and auditing processes.
The organisation will use E-FORMs to link survey findings to its own property database, removing a time-consuming and mainly paper exercise from the survey process. The software has been set up to match the wide range of questions and fields required to be completed for the Trust’s asset survey which details the condition of individual rooms across nearly 200 buildings.
Knowledge Online have matched the database questions based on their needs, looking at heating, electrical, decor, structure etc and marking repairs with costs and priority. This information is entered directly into the handheld. The software will then send reports by email and alert managers by SMS to highlight areas of concern as well as updating the Trust’s own central database with the survey results.

With 136 outlets, Staples UK wanted to speed up and improve the analysis of their audit processes, particularly in the area of loss prevention. Their team of Loss Prevention Officers (LPOs) visit the stores to conduct audits at regular intervals - the frequency of each audit being determined by the store's risk rating. E-SAFE 100 has replicated the paper-based audit forms and scoring matrix previously used by the inspectors.
Using their PDA phones loaded with E-SAFE 100, the LPOs are able to document audits quickly and record photographic evidence of issues using the one piece of hardware. Furthermore, there is no need to get the laptop out at each store, as E-SAFE 100 formats and distributes the report from the PDA.

Midas, one of the UK's fastest growing, independent providers of construction and property services, has introduced E-SAFE 100 which will greatly facilitate the collation and presentation of health and safety reports on its retail operations.
E-SAFE 100 allows Midas to produce KPI health and safety reports at any time, using the most up to date information gathered directly from the field, without the administrative burden of manually pulling together all of the inspection details over a set period.
The award-winning software from Knowledge Online allows reports and audits to be logged and recorded onto a database. The system provides a way to flag up and instantly resolve issues, thereby helping to prevent accidents occurring. This process is instant. If something is wrong then it sends an alert up the chain so that all relevant parties are immediately aware of the problem and it can be resolved.
Craig Currie, Retail Director at Midas said ‘Now that we are using E-SAFE 100, the next step is to speed up the inspection process by introducing PDAs which is in line with our commitment to continuous improvement through innovation.”

With over 270 outlets nationwide, River Island needed to speed up and improve the analysis of its auditing processes, particularly in the area of health and safety. This is highly relevant in view of the imminent introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter Act1, which came into force on 6 April 2008 and will leave businesses open very serious criminal charges if the correct and proper procedures are not in place.
The highly skilled team of health and safety officers regularly visit stores across the country to conduct audits - the frequency of each being determined by the store's risk rating. E-SAFE 100 has replicated the paper-based audit forms and scoring matrix previously used by the inspectors. Using their PDA loaded with E-SAFE 100, the advisors are able to document findings quickly and record photographic evidence of issues using the one piece of hardware. There is no need to get the laptop out, as E-SAFE 100 formats and distributes the report from the PDA.

Pettifer Construction use E-SAFE 100 Health & Safety and snagging solutions across all of their sites in the UK. Not only have they replaced the previous paper based process but also they use up to date information generated through the system to review safety and quality performance at board meetings and in operational meetings.
The IT department at Pettifer see the beauty of the E-SAFE 100 product from Knowledge Online in that it requires little to no configuration effort by the client’s IT department. When the new version of E-SAFE was released in early 2007 they did not have to worry about it at all. The only requirement was to make sure that all of our machines had the .NET 2 Framework installed which is more or less a standard commodity nowadays.
The company’s E-SAFE 100 data is hosted on an external web server and the SmartClient application is installed automatically on the user’s machine when they log onto a web address specified by KOL.
